I mentioned I’m working on a new adult peasant blouse pattern, but I’ve got something else in the works too. I’m getting ready to release my first-ever children’s pattern, a top or dress for girls in sizes 18-24 months to 12 years, and her name is Sage!
Sewn up here in one of my favorite Anna Maria Horner voiles, it’s child version of the Zsálya top & dress pattern. Because the word ‘zsálya’ means ‘sage’ in Hungarian. The plant, I mean! (Have you ever seen sage flowering? So beautiful.)
My daughters have been pestering me to make them blouses like mine for a long, long time now so… I finally gave in, and they and some of their friends have been wearing these blouses for the past few months.
Would you test it for me? I will need to test all sizes and both top and dress versions, I’m new to children’s patterns and I’m very anxious to find any fit issues. This pattern has been professionally graded but since children’s patterns are a completely new venture for me, I am sure there will be things to change and I would be so, so grateful for your input.
The best part: I will be able to send you fabric to sew with! If you are interested, leave a comment below, send me a comment on instagram, twitter, or facebook, or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information! I will be getting in touch with additional details towards the end of this week.
