Seeking pattern testers!

I mentioned I’m working on a new adult peasant blouse pattern, but I’ve got something else in the works too. I’m getting ready to release my first-ever children’s pattern, a top or dress for girls in sizes 18-24 months to 12 years, and her name is Sage!

k&r-9356

Sewn up here in one of my favorite Anna Maria Horner voiles, it’s child version of the Zsálya top & dress pattern. Because the word ‘zsálya’ means ‘sage’ in Hungarian. The plant, I mean! (Have you ever seen sage flowering? So beautiful.)

My daughters have been pestering me to make them blouses like mine for a long, long time now so… I finally gave in, and they and some of their friends have been wearing these blouses for the past few months.

Would you test it for me? I will need to test all sizes and both top and dress versions, I’m new to children’s patterns and I’m very anxious to find any fit issues. This pattern has been professionally graded but since children’s patterns are a completely new venture for me, I am sure there will be things to change and I would be so, so grateful for your input.

The best part: I will be able to send you fabric to sew with! If you are interested, leave a comment below, send me a comment on instagram, twitter, or facebook, or email me at info@kate-and-rose.com for more information! I will be getting in touch with additional details towards the end of this week.

Yes! I have a 2 year old girl! I am so glad you are making patterns for little girls!!!!!! I love your patterns for women, but I simply do not have time to sew for myself. So, I would love to pattern test!

  2. Hello, this sure is gorgeous! I’ve pattern tested for you in the past and I’d love to do it again! I have three boys but a few nieces, all still young. They currently two months, one year and 20 months. If you need any sizes around those i’m happy to sew one (or a few) up to try!

  3. Hello, this sure is gorgeous! I’ve always loved that AMH voile and this is the perfect use for it. I’ve pattern tested for you in the past and I’d love to do it again. I have three boys but a few young nieces. They are 2 mos, one year and 20 months. If you need any sizes around those I’d be happy to sew one (or a few) up. Thanks!

I’d love to test for you! I recently introduced the women’s Zsayla dress (and the other patterns) at a sewcial at my local quilt shop. My daughter is 2, but wears a 3t/4t depending on measurements. I’ve tested for a few other designers, but most recently the Cali Faye Collection Valencia in women’s and girl’s. My ig handle is @coralbunnyandlo. Thanks for the consideration!

Also, I’d love to hear more about the sewcial at your local quilt shop and thank you so much for introducing my patterns! Where are you located?

      • JessZ says:

We officially get together the second Friday of the month, but we’ve become great sewing friends, so we’ll occasionally meet up at the quilt shop sporadically during the rest of the month to sew, talk sewing, and shop. I also sew samples for the shop- mostly girl’s patterns, but occasionally women’s and quilts, too. I’m in Texas, and I can email you more info about the quilt shop when I hear from you. 🙂

I would LOVE to test this pattern for you! My daughter is 5 and has been wearing more tops/pants combos lately, but when I showed her your image up top she said she would love it as a top or a dress, so I’d be happy to sew up either one. I loved making your Giselle dress (I’ve done two of them)–here’s a link to my post about it! http://bethbeingcrafty.blogspot.jp/2015/03/did-you-see-my-featured-post-on-imagine.html

This is a gorgeous blouse. I follow on IG & saw your call for testers there. My daughter is 9 and I would love to sew this for her. I have pattern tested both adult & children’s clothes before & have experience sewing from a wide variety of children’s patterns.

I have an almost 5 year old daughter that would be very happy to have me make a new blouse for her. It looks very sweet.

  14. Annette says:

I would be happy to test for a four year old girl.

  15. Laura says:

This looks beautiful! I haven’t tested a pattern before ( have only been sewing clothes for my children and myself for about year), but this looks perfect for my 5 and 10 year old daughters. I would happily test the pattern from a confident beginner’s perspective if that would be helpful?
